Rite Foods Clinches Two Awards at 2026 Marketing Edge Awards

Rite Foods Limited has secured two major honours at the 2026 Marketing Edge Awards, with its Managing Director, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, named Outstanding FMCG Brand Entrepreneur of the Year, while the company won Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year.

The awards were presented at a ceremony organised by Marketing Edge, a leading publication in Nigeria’s marketing communications and branding industry, held in Lagos on Friday, September 25, 2026.

The event attracted professionals, business leaders and stakeholders from the marketing, advertising and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.

The twin recognition underscores Rite Foods’ growing profile in Nigeria’s food and beverage industry, particularly its emphasis on innovation, product quality, consumer engagement and locally manufactured brands.

Speaking on the awards, Adegunwa attributed the recognition to the collective efforts of the company’s employees and Rite Foods’ sustained focus on innovation, quality and value creation.

He said the honours reflected the company’s contribution to the development of the FMCG sector through initiatives designed to promote innovation, strengthen brand equity and establish meaningful connections with consumers.

According to him, Rite Foods’ approach to product development and consumer engagement has enabled its brands to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic market.

Also speaking on the corporate award, Rite Foods’ Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Mr. Ekuma Eze, said the recognition reflected the company’s commitment to producing quality products that respond to changing consumer preferences.

Eze said Rite Foods’ commitment goes beyond product quality to encompass research and development, consumer-focused innovation, environmental sustainability, value creation and technology adoption across its operations.

“These recognitions reinforce our belief that sustainable brand leadership is built through consistent investment in quality, innovation and the consumer. At Rite Foods, we remain committed to creating products that meet evolving consumer needs while delivering value to our stakeholders and contributing positively to the communities in which we operate,” he said.

Rite Foods recently expanded its product portfolio with the launch of LIDA Malt, further strengthening its presence in Nigeria’s beverage market.

The company’s existing portfolio includes 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, five variants of Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, Bigi Beef Sausage and Bigi Flex Sausage.

The company has also continued to receive recognition for its sustainability and responsible business practices.

In 2026, Rite Foods was honoured at the National Sustainability Achievements Awards for its contributions to sustainable manufacturing, product innovation, environmental stewardship and responsible corporate leadership.

The latest honours come after Adegunwa was named Industrialist of the Year 2025 by Vanguard Media Limited in recognition of his leadership, entrepreneurial vision and contribution to the FMCG industry.

The double recognition at the 2026 Marketing Edge Awards further highlights Rite Foods’ investments in people, product development, innovation and sustainable business practices as the company continues to expand its footprint in Nigeria’s food and beverage sector.
